With some thought and consideration, I’ve decided that the theme for the next year is going to be worth it! It’s something that we’re going to live and practice as a family. I like having something to focus on and come back to when we need grounding.
I picked this because I’ve spent quite a bit of my life not valuing myself. I’ve spent too much time being worried about what other people thought or putting other people first.
Lately I’ve wondered a lot about what I’m teaching my kids. What lessons are they learning by watching me? What am I passing down to them on how they are going to their lives as adults. I’ve worked through a lot this past year and a recurring theme is I don’t want to be anything like the woman that raised me.
So in 2021, my priority is showing my kids that they are worth it by living it. We’re going to take the time we need to do the things we want. We’re going to organize our priorities in a way that makes sense for our lives. We’re going to LIVE each day. These are lessons I want my kids to learn.
