2020 Keystone Cougar 364BHL
On December 9, 2020 we purchased a brand new 5th Wheel. This is a major upgrade from our previous rig. This particular line is geared towards full timers. We're enjoying the features very much and looking forward to all of the memories made.
The Basics
39 feet long
3 slides ~opposing slides in the living area
Queen size master bedroom
Bunkhouse with full over full (loft)
1 1/2 bath
Double RV Fridge
Kitchen Island
Outdoor Kitchen
Many more features, but this was what was top on our list when we were looking for our upgrade.
Master Bedroom
On our must-have list was an actual master bedroom. We wanted a true door we could shut. I wasn't terribly picky other than that. This space is actually smaller than our previous 5th wheel, but the trade-off is totally worth it.
The bed lifts up for storage. We need to organize it and make better use out of it, but for now, there are shoes and clothes and a few other miscellaneous things. Jason is going to put shocks, for lack of a better term, so that it stays up better due to our heavier mattress.
I did purchase a new bedspread because I wanted to brighten up this space. While we have great windows and the potential for natural light the dark gray and navy stuff we had just really made it feel way too small.
The closet space is smaller than what we have but the bedside cabinets well make up for it. We each have two and have used them to fit our needs. I have craft supplies in mine and Jason has clothes in his.
There are a few more decorating things I would like to do. I'd like to hang the pictures you can see that are on top of the window but haven't figured out the best way to do that yet.
We did purchase a mattress from Sam's Club. If you've ever slept on an RV mattress, then you'll know why. It's a lot thicker and does take away from a little bit of movement around the bed, but it's well worth it.
