The Trail
I love when we stay someplace where there are terrific hikes nearby! We were able to stay IN the campground and then drive over to this spot to take a hike. {if we had bike locks we likely would've biked to this spot to hike instead of drive}
This was the silver river trail. I left my review on alltrails.com but I will say that I was fairly disappointed because it looked NOTHING like what people said it did. It was nice, but it wasn't near what I was thinking it would be.

The Park
After our hike, we drove around to the park entrance and explored some. Normally this isn't something we would've rushed, but our time at this park was severely limited. That being said - I hope to go back someday and spend a 10-14 day stay here roadschooling & exploring more.
I would love to walk around these grounds fresh and ready to go, and not after I had just hiked almost 3 miles! Also, I'd love to do the glass bottom boat ride and kayak.
There are a ton of educational opportunities and the kids were talking about bringing there books at one of the many picnic tables and working through school.
